Frank V. "Frankie" Sessa, 38 years old, passed away at his home in the Silver Lake Section of Belleville on Saturday December 30, 2017. He was a 1997 graduate of Belleville High School. He worked as a laborer for the Township of Belleville in the Dept. of Public Works for the past 5 years. Prior to that, Frankie owned and ran FS Painting for several years. Frankie was a lover of many genres of music with The Allman Brothers, The Doors, & Black Crows among his many favorite bands. Frankie was a die-hard fan of the NY Yankees, NY Islanders, & Oakland Raiders. Frankie loved the Jersey Shore. Though he was essentially a lifelong Belleville resident, he did live in Point Pleasant for approximately 5 years in the mid to late 2000s. Frankie loved going to Starbucks with his best friend Mike Driscoll & drink his favorite size & blend, Grande Pike. Good times with good friends & good food epitomized Frankie Sessa aka "Rigappi" & "Pepper", his 2 childhood family nicknames. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7th from 2-7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, NJ 07003 on Monday, January 8th. Kindly be at the funeral home by 8:30 am for a short service prior to a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at St. Lucy's Church, Newark, NJ. The burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington, NJ.
Frankie is survived by his loving mother, Terry (nee Piegaro) Sessa; devoted and loving brother, Anthony Sessa and his wife Danielle; dear niece, Emily; dear aunts, Millie Sessa and Grace Piegaro whom he lived with for many years and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
