Marvin George Davenport Jr, age 61 of Manhattan, passed away on October 28, 2021, in New York City. He was born April 9, 1960, in Littlefield, Texas to Marvin Davenport and Gereta Meissner.

Marvin is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Davenport Sr., mother, Gereta Meissner, and sister, Pamela Davis. He is survived by his two brothers, Raymond Davenport, and wife, Judy of Muleshoe Texas, and Michael Davenport, and wife, Kimberlee of Hattiesburg Mississippi. He was loved by his nieces and nephews. (Misty Davenport Lassiter, husband Ross, Logan, and Landon, Damon Davenport wife April & Eli, Joshua Davenport and wife Amanda, Nixon. Amber Davenport Morris and husband John Fleet Morris, Raeleigh & Presley, JPat Cooley, Greg Davis, and Chris Davis.

Marvin was an Oracle Database Admin until his retirement in 2019. He also lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with his dog Riley. He enjoyed gardening and bike riding. He was passionate about supporting the LGBTQ Community and worked with The Trevor Project.
